Getting a gallery exhibition is crucial for any photographer looking to build their career and get their work seen by a new audience. Placing your photography in front of the right people can seem daunting, especially when you're just getting started!

 

We know how hard it can be to put together an exhibition-ready portfolio, let alone the spend time researching where and how to submit your work. So we decided to compile a list of 31 approachable galleries that want to see your work in the US.

Call or email first, we are a small gallery and like a personal touch. We invite submissions from photographers who create works using traditional and alternative processes in film photography.

The main focus of the gallery at Otis College of Art and Design is to feature contemporary art that pushes the boundaries of form and subject matter, and is very welcome to photography.

Shows are rarely, if ever, offered based solely on submissions. The biggest part of the process of finding places to show your work is to get out and see shows, meet people, talk to people, make them aware of your work, invite curators to your studio in person, get involved in collaborations, get involved in supportive communities that coordinate their own shows, etc.
