Gunite Pool Construction
Custom Gunite Pools in Gilbert
Gunite is the most flexible way to build an in-ground pool, and it is the heart of what Onwardphoto does. A pneumatically applied shotcrete shell is sprayed over a grade 60 steel rebar cage, which means your pool can take any shape, depth, tanning ledge, or vanishing edge you want. From compact courtyard pools in Agritopia to resort-style builds near Higley Road, a gunite shell adapts to the yard rather than forcing the yard to fit a mold.
Why Homeowners Choose Gunite
- Unlimited design. Freeform curves, sun shelves, raised spas, and beach entries are all on the table with a sprayed concrete shell.
- Durability. A steel-reinforced shell is engineered to last for decades, and a fresh quartz or pebble finish keeps the interior sound for 15 to 25 years.
- Value. A well-built custom pool is a lasting upgrade that Maricopa County buyers notice.
Our Process
We start with a design and layout, then excavate the hole to plan. Next the rebar cage is tied and the Schedule 40 PVC plumbing is roughed in for the skimmer, main drain, and returns. The shotcrete shell is sprayed and cured for about a week, then tile, coping, and decking follow. The interior plaster or pebble finish goes on last, ahead of equipment startup and the safety barrier. Each stage passes inspection before the next begins.
